JyotishAI values your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.

1. Data We Collect

• Account info: email, password hash (bcrypted)
• Birth details: date, time, place of birth (used for chart calculations)
• Uploaded images: palm/face photos (processed and then stored temporarily)
• Preferences: language, reading interests, timezone

2. How We Use Data

• To generate personalized astrology readings via AI
• To send optional reminders and notifications
• To improve our services (anonymized analytics only)

3. AI Processing Consent

We use local AI models (Ollama) and optionally cloud AI providers. You explicitly consent to AI processing during registration. You can withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account.

4. Image Storage

Palm and face images are uploaded to secure S3-compatible storage. They are retained only as long as needed for the reading, then deleted per our retention policy (default 30 days). We do not sell, share, or train models on your images.

5. Your Rights

• Access: View all data we hold about you
• Correction: Update your profile anytime from Settings
• Deletion: Delete your account and all associated data from Profile

6. Security

We use HTTPS, JWT tokens, rate limiting, and encrypted storage. Your password is hashed with bcrypt.
